Many trees are growing in hostile growing environments, such as verges which are dry, compacted, and have little nutrient content.

Rehabilitating trees growing in hostile environments can be a challenging task, but with the right knowledge and techniques, it is possible to improve soil conditions and give these trees a better chance of survival.  One effective way to improve soil conditions is by adding composted mulch to the area around the tree.

Composted mulch is organic material that been decomposed over time and can be used as a soil amendment.  It helps to improve soil structure, water retention, and nutrient availability, all of which are important for tree growth.  In addition, composted mulch helps to suppress weeds and can reduce the need for chemical fertilizers.
